Our vetting

How We Vet Our Staff

We use a structured recruitment, vetting, assessment and training process. Eight stages, each with a purpose — so the person who arrives on your site is someone we've genuinely got to know.
“We don’t simply collect references — we check them.”

18 months

Baseline relevant experience in the role

2

Relevant professional references, checked

  1. 01

    Step 1

    Application

Applicants complete a registration form and tell us about their experience and work history.

  2. 02

    Step 2

    CV & Experience Review

We review each applicant’s CV and employment history. Workers should generally have at least 18 months of relevant experience in the role they are applying for — this is our baseline requirement.

  3. 03

    Step 3

    Two Relevant References

Applicants must provide at least two relevant professional references. We contact referees and ask about the applicant’s reliability, conduct and ability.

  4. 04

    Step 4

    Qualifications

Where qualifications or certificates are relevant to the role, they are reviewed. Not every role requires formal qualifications — but where they matter, we look at them.

  5. 05

    Step 5

    Knowledge Assessment

Applicants can complete a role-related assessment to test their knowledge and understanding.

    • Role knowledge
    • Customer service
    • Hospitality standards
    • Communication
    • Situational judgement
    • Professional conduct
    • Workplace awareness
  6. 06

    Step 6

    Training

Workers receive Steadfast training and guidance covering:

    • Customer Service
    • Professional Conduct
    • Communication
    • Presentation
    • Punctuality
    • Reliability
    • Teamwork
    • Following Instructions
    • Hospitality Standards
    • Client-Site Behaviour
  7. 07

    Step 7

    Trial / Probation Period

New workers go through an initial trial or probationary period, during which we can review:

    • Reliability
    • Attendance
    • Communication
    • Professionalism
    • Performance
    • Conduct
  8. 08

    Step 8

    Ongoing Review

Worker performance and client feedback can continue to be reviewed after registration — vetting doesn’t stop once someone joins.

Vetting shouldn’t be a box-ticking exercise.

We believe careful recruitment, genuine reference checking, assessment, training and ongoing review are important parts of dependable staffing.

Why Steadfast

Why Steadfast?

01

Human-First Service

You can communicate with real people — not an automated system or a ticket queue.

02

Thorough Vetting

Our recruitment process considers experience, references, knowledge, training and suitability.

03

Carefully Selected Workers

We look beyond simple availability and think about who is right for your assignment.

04

Proper Preparation

Workers receive relevant information before attending an assignment, so they arrive knowing what to expect.

05

Clear Communication

Communication stays clear between Steadfast, you and the worker — before, during and after a shift.

06

Attention to Detail

Diligent. Meticulous. Considered. The small things are usually the things that matter.

07

Long-Term Relationships

We want to build repeat relationships with clients, rather than fill one shift and disappear.

“Staff that are trained to be steadfast.”
